Deborah Cox put on a dazzling display in an eye-catching ensemble as she led stars during opening night of The Wiz on Broadway in New York City on Wednesday.
The We Can’t Be Friends singer, 49 – who previously attended the musical’s glitzy opening in Los Angeles back in February – joined other celebrities and cast members at the Marquis Theatre where the festivities were held.
The performer flaunted her toned figure in a sleeveless, semi-sheer dress that contained sparkling, silver sequin details on the fabric.
The glittering material fell onto the ground and flowed into a long train behind the star. A bow embellishment could also be seen on the back of the gown for a stylish flare.
Cox slipped into a pair of closed-toed, shimmering gray heels to coincide with the color scheme of her ensemble for the big night.
Her hair was parted to the side, and effortlessly fell down to brush her shoulders in light waves.
Deborah – who took on the role of Glinda in the musical – opted for minimal accessories to allow her outfit to be the main focal point, and added a pair of silver earrings.
Her makeup was glammed up, and comprised of voluminous lashes as well as a smoky shadow around her eyes.
A warm blush was added to better accentuate her cheekbones, while a ɴuᴅᴇ-colored, satin tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.
Cox was seen striking a variety of poses upon arriving to the venue, and soon crossed paths with her co-star Wayne Brady, who portrayed The Wiz.
The pair flashed cheerful smiles as they posed for a few snaps together, with Brady also dressing to impress.
He donned a classic black suit but chose to not wear a shirt underneath. Wayne additionally wore a fuzzy coat that comprised of hues such as olive green and light brown.
The TV host completed his look by slipping into a pair of black shoes with chunky soles and placed a black hat on top of his head.
